Chief Accountant
As part of our continuous growth and expansion, we seek a skilled Chief Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial
Management and System Oversight: Oversee all aspects of financial accounting,
budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the company's gold trading
activities. Additionally, take responsibility for the financial system and all
transactions, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and integrity.
- Compliance
and Regulation: Ensure compliance
with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry guidelines in
the gold trading sector.
- Financial
Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support
strategic decision-making, including pricing strategies, investment
opportunities, and risk management.
- Internal
Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard
assets, mitigate risks, and prevent fraud in gold trading transactions.
- Team
Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals,
fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous
improvement.
- Audit
Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits
and ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
- Process
Improvement: Identify process optimization and automation opportunities to
enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
- Stakeholder
Communication: Liaise with internal
stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities to address
inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships.
Your Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 6
years of relevant experience in accounting, focusing on financial management
and reporting in the trading industry, preferably within the gold sector.
- Strong
knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations applies mainly to gold trading activities.
- Detail-oriented with a meticulous task approach and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience
with ERP systems and financial software is a must.
- Excellent
analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective
communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact
confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven
leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of motivating
and developing high-performing teams.
- Must be
based in Dubai, UAE
